God Delusion Debate - Richard Dawkins & John Lennox

Category: Talks, Debates, Interviews
Description:
Atheism makes sense! At least that is what atheism’s evangelist Richard Dawkins is campaigning for in this newly released debate with Christian apologist John Lennox.

In the debate, Professor Dawkins continues his warpath against religion using his typical British banter. With rhetoric straight off the pages of his New York Times’ best seller The God Delusion, Dawkins claims, “Science supports atheism, not Christianity!”

In comes John Lennox to dispel Dawkins’ discourse. With his matchless logic and rationale, Lennox asserts that “it is the very nature of science that leads me to a belief in God.”
Seeders: 48
Leeches: 20

About Chomsky

Category: Chomsky
Description:
This upload contains approximately 140 articles written about Chomsky by various authors - pro and con. ;; Included are all of the "About Chomsky" pieces collected by the most comprehensive Chomsky archive site, www.chomsky.info, plus a few more.

Additional uploads of Chomsky Debates, Letters etc., presented in the same formats, will follow in the near future. ;; I've already uploaded "Chomsky Books", "Chomsky Talks", "Chomsky on Anarchism", "Understanding Power", "Chomsky Interviews", and "Chomsky Articles".

The articles are made available in two formats: as individual .htm and .pdf files and all .htm files compiled into a single .chm file that can be scanned quickly as well as read comfortably and searched off-line with a chm viewer.

In Windows, the .chm file can be read with the default Windows Help Reader or, preferably, with the free HelpExplorer Viewer 3.0 (http://www.help-explorer.com/downloads.php). ;; In Linux, it can be read with KchmViewer (for KDE) or Xchm or HelpExplorer for Linux (in which fonts may not be anti-aliased) or, preferably, with HelpExplorer Viewer 3.0 for Windows, running in Wine or CrossOver.
Seeders: 1
Leeches: 1

G-d Delusion Debate - Dawkins/Lennox

Category: Talks, Debates, Interviews
Description:
"The God Delusion" Debate
7:00 pm
Wednesday, October 3, 2007
The Alys Stephens Center
Birmingham, Alabama

Remaining true to our goal of engaging secular culture on critical issues in a thoughtful, respectful manner, Fixed Point Foundation will sponsor a debate on what is arguably the most critical question of our time: the existence of God. The decision one makes regarding this question has implications that reverberate throughout eternity to be sure, but it also affects temporal existence from government policy to the individual. Historically, man’s belief in the transcendent has served as a restraint on his conduct and provided hope for his future. Now, it is argued, “God is dead”, and man can do very well without him.

The debate will feature Professor Richard Dawkins, Fellow of the Royal Society and Charles Simonyi Chair for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University and Dr. John Lennox (MA, MA, Ph.D., D.Phil., D.Sc.), Reader in Mathematics and Fellow in Mathematics and Philosophy of Science, Green College, University of Oxford.
------------------------------------------------end----------------------------------------------------------------

Fixed Point Foundation put the event on but then did not make any copies available for free, opting to only sell CDs and DVDs from their site, while those are still unavailable Phil from EWTN (http://www.bringyou.to/apologetics/audio.htm) was good enough to record it and make it available for free.

*Please note that I am not affiliate with any of the above groups, just passing the file along so that more people can hear it. Also, audio quality is low.
Seeders: 1
Leeches: 0
