AVI file unrecognized by Recomp program

Postby loninappleton on Fri Oct 26, 2007 5:06 am

Salud! the film on Cuban doctors downloaded fine from OBT. The resolutuion is gorgeous and the film is great. Looks to be a standard avi file aand is viewable in VLC.

But the file is unrecognized in AVI Recomp. AVI recomp is used for downsizing content for better and faster distribution. I have encountered no such a problem before. I don't even really know a good place to ask the question.

A good place to find answers related to ripping or re-ripping audio or video is doom9.org (http://doom9.net/.) A good place to ask questions is the doom9 forums.

If you wish to recieve help here (or anywhere) more detailed information about the error is requied.
We Americans claim to be a peace-loving people. We hate bloodshed; we are opposed to violence.Yet we go into spasms of joy over the possibility of projecting dynamite bombs from flying machines upon helpless citizens...Such is the logic of patriotism.

I have since moved to a program called Auto Gordian Knot for task of compressing files
for easier distribution and torrenting.

This operation is necessary for places like here in US where everything is spread out
and we're on the lagging edge of internet speed due to corporate control. We just can't handle files over 1 G
easily or in a timely manner.
