As you may have noticed, we've had repeated outages over the last weeks, and the last couple of days were especially nasty.

I managed to move all the data to a new host (well, everything except escobar's avatar, but i should have that operational within 10 hours -- I've got 8!). I also took the opportunity to update the forum software to the latest version.

If you thought the downtime was an indication that the whole-new version of the site would finally go live, you were wrong. However, the new version is just around the corner. We're merely waiting for some important 3rd party software to be released before we make the big move. It'll be worth the wait, so stick around.

there seem to be a few glitches .. one being that some people can't log in in on the main site (forums seem to be fine). can anybody around here confirm that problem?
