Just curious about your views on torrent programs. I have always used azureus but have been thinking of switching to one of the others. Any thoughts, what do you all like to use? Just thinking of switching because, although I really like azureus's layout it slows my pc down like crazy.

I agree with you. I never liked Azureus really..not to mention it takes like 5 minutes to start, and like you said slows the PC down. My pc sucks, might be one reason :roll:

I would recommend Bitcomet. Been using it for awhile, both for seeding and for downloading, and it works great. You can select separate files as well. Might use some RAM after awhile, but the CPU usage is pretty low.

I would recommend BitComet aswell. Its not such a heavy program as azureus and still has all the features you could want.

I just switched off Azureus to ABC torrent because I know it works well under Windows 98 lite. Works pretty good, despite a handful of minor bugs.

I'll try BitComet later on this machine and see how well it pans out.

As for Java apps, don't they ALWAYS waste resources unless there made with Amiga's Java or something?

I agree. Don't ask me why, but I hate java, and it's slow. Not to mention it takes up huge install-space, for reasons beyond me :P
