Mark Steyn... book, America Alone. I want to be in-depth about the 'topic' and I wish I could go to Indigo 55 Bloor st and meet the man buy his book. For those who have read it.. what do you think? Hello, I am seeking any if not all video copies of the Herman Axelbank Film Collection which, ironically,seems to be controlled by the Hoover Institute at Stanford University. I can write a tutorial on how to encode the highest quality video from DVD possible, while keeping a low 1.4GB file, and while keeping all of it in the open source GNU/GPL arena! This even includes the software required to encode the DVDs. The only problem to date is that I haven't found a decent linux program that will accomplish this. So, two question. 1. Anyone know a Linux based DVD encoding GUI that can use the MKV container, the H.264 video codec, and the Vorbis audio codec? 2. Who would find this information useful?

I see under the avatar selection there is a browse box, which I assumed was to upload a custom avatar. This inspired me to make a black and white abbie hoffman floating head... When I try to upload it, I select it into the browse box, and then click submit... When I go back to my profile page, no avatar is there... So, how does one upload a custom avatar??? I must have this avatar! If I can't do it this way, then the admin must embed it my picture as a selection for everyone! I am a web designer, so I know it would be easy, so don't try to fool me admins! Dave
