A decade after the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania, the Conspiracy Files looks at why some people still question what really happened on 9/11. Conspiracy theories continue to evolve and now question every aspect of the official account. Why, they ask, was the hole in the Pentagon so small? Why did the World Trade Centre buildings collapse as if being demolished by explosives? Why did one skyscraper fall when it was never hit by a plane? And why was the world's greatest military power so unprepared and so slow to react when warnings had been received?
The death of Osama Bin Laden might have been expected to put an end to the conspiracy theories, but the failure to release any pictures of Bin Laden's death and the hasty disposal of his body in the Arabian Sea, has instead given these theories a new burst of life.
Featuring key witnesses, CIA and FBI interviewees and leading sceptics, the programme analyses the evidence and looks at what makes conspiracy theories so persistent and so powerful.

Today on the 10th anniversary I channel flipped between CNN International, BBC World and Al Jazeera English.
Al Jazeera English, of course, was the best - and focused on all the deaths and misery that has happened since. Including the AlQ-style attacks in Madrid and London and Bali but also Iraq and Afghanistan and beyond.
CNN International seemed to be a live feed from American CNN and was filled with the usual self-pity and fear mongering that we have grown to expect in the past decade.
BBC International was ok and also included a showing of this documentary: The Conspiracy Files: 9/11 Ten Years On
I have some criticisms of it, but I see it as a good antidote to most of the 9/11 conspiracy crap that is out there. It's discussion of the Thermite was well done and I think Alex Jones and that Small Change moron has to offer some answers in reply.
But, as almost always true with these 9/11 docus, there is no mention of the very real conspiracy: The Anthrax attacks on the US Congress.
Let us not forget that there was/is a faction within the US Government that launched a violent attack on the elected representatives and parliament of that government — and no one has since been punished for that treason.
You do not need Thermite to prove that this is true.

I would however be interested to hear you prove (with or without thermite) that the anthrax attacks were not the sole work of U.S. army biological weapons researcher and all-round-nutjob Bruce Ivins, just as the FBI concluded ;P

Watched this a while ago when the beeb first showed it,seemed to be exactly the same unconvincing waffle as the original 911 conspiracy files some years ago just with updated BS explanations for WT7's collapse.
Still unconvinced that the World Trade Center building collapses were anything less than they appeared to be - controlled demolitions,I don't think you need the conspiracy reasoning - the false flag ideas,thermite,magically appearing indestructible passports or equally magically vapourising jet engines(sorry slightly tangential Pentagon reference) - to see that, just you own eyes. This evident truth may well be outside most peoples acceptable world view with all the horrors it illuminates but that doesn't make it any less true

I think the explanation for the collapse of the 2 main towers was handled better than the first time round and it was the most convincing conventional explanation I have heard. However I agree with nomonkeybizness, one only needs to watch the footage of the third tower to see that the uniformity of the collapse must be engineered in some way.
Moving on, I have heard in many conspiracy theory docs that in the days before 9/11 there was a huge amount of short selling of airline shares. Where is the evidence for this and if it is fact then why was this in no way dealt with as it is surely a huge indication of prior knowledge in the world of finance and obviously points to a wider conspiracy.
