If you follow Tony Blair's (aka Bliar) sordid progress this is not that shocking. It is however informative and should be compulsory watching for all the would be radicals that voted this filthy corporate toady in. What I find more shocking is that even after he was exposed and fled office he actually came quite close to running the World Bank.

AnarchoSyndicate I am sad to say that I am surprised. It is the bare faced cheek of it I can't handle, he was a barrister and his wife is a human rights QC. With Cheney you have a corporate oil company scum bag republican who is voted in on a right wing corporate agenda and acts as you would expect. With Blair though you have a guy who was voted in, after years of right wing government, on a wave of socialism, and you get a right wing corporate warmongering scum bag. It's a bit like the Obama betrayal but at least the US will only get 4 years of that. I was living in the UK when the Blair scum first won the election and there was a genuine feeling of hope, utterly naive as it turned out.
