This serves as a companion to \"After Innocence\" and differs in the style of presentation; Exonerated is a dramatization by actors with only a very brief meeting with the actual victims at the end, and it concentrates more on the alleged crimes and errors which railroaded them into the largest prison system on earth in the first place whereas \"After Innocence\" is an all live candid documentary featuring the actual victims, perpetrators (of false imprisonment) and members of the Innocence Project who have worked very hard to free the victims from this intransigent system. Otherwise I will paste in the review I posted for \"After Innocence\" below;
After Innocence documents the ongoing efforts, primarily by The Innocence Project, to overturn the wrongful convictions of the many innocent people who are serving long sentences or have been condemned to death. There success has been due in large part to the advent of DNA evidence not available at the time these people were convicted along with phenomenal effort on the part of those in the Innocence Project and others.
More importantly, it highlights the inadequacies of a law enforcement and judiciary gone mad with prejudice in the form of profiling, shortcuts and railroading in the most heavily burdened judicial system on earth and other factors.
