Well, you've probably seen "Super Size Me". You may even have seen the original "McLibel" coverage in 1997, a marathon 6 hours of television spread over several days. Nothing compared to the two and a half YEARS spent by this indomitable couple in the longest libel trial in UK history, taking on the complete might of the McDonalds corporation, its huge teams of lawyers and vast pockets. This specially remade film blending archive and recent footage tells the story of the legal battle from its start, the spies sent by the corporation before the trial even began, the five main legal heads, the gathering crowds of friends and supporters who came at their own expense to give evidence for Dave and Helen, right up to the present day where even seven years later, Steel and Morris are still fighting, having taken their battle right to the top, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. You can catch up with the latest doings of the McLibel team at their website, McSpotlight (.org). [description shamelessly ripped from bosmon]
