OK, lets see.
I have a hunch that Milton Friedman is the NEOLIBERAL swine who says that the markets will fix everything and the poor people are condemned... because their market value is zip.
lets google then, shall we?
(always add CHOMSKY for sanity!)
alright... here we go... took 1 minute:
... neoliberals like Friedman had no qualms over
the military overthrow of Chile's democratically
elected Allende government in 1973, because Allende
was interfering with business control ...
... the great Milton Friedman was feted at the White House by President Bush. In his speech, the President gave us much desired policy candy:
Milton Friedman has shown us that when government attempts to substitute its own judgments for the judgments of free people, the results are usually disastrous. In contrast to the free market's invisible hand, which improves the lives of people, (HAHA !! funny that good investment climate always means bloodshed and torture and the destruction of unions and democracy !)
the government's invisible foot tramples on people's
hopes and destroys their dreams.
(like the government giving free health-care and free
education and rule-of-law and trains and and and..)
He has never claimed that free markets are perfect.
Yet he has demonstrated that even an imperfect market
produces better results than arrogant experts and
grasping bureaucrats. But Milton Friedman does not
object to government controls solely because they are
ineffective. His deeper objectives flow from a moral
framework. He has taught us that a free market system's
main justification is its moral strength.
WOW... the wisdom of President Bush... the arselicker
of big business... and UNDEMOCRATIC power... and the
great morals of the market that produces in sweat-shops
and (like WalMart) tries to prohibit unions and tells
the US citizen-worker to morally piss of of accept a pay cut, and then morally gambles away the worker's pension.
OK, then... elite-arsehole-hypocrits on PBS... who else
Discussion with Thomas Sowell, Hoover Institution
hhooooover "institution" hahaha the right-wing think tank!!
Ooohh that is bringing up reeeaaaly contrary arguments!!
2 The Tyranny of Control
Haha .. US corporations CONTROL as much as they can...
too right... tyranny.
What governments do is REGULATE. For example where
government ENFORCES an open and fair, level "playing field", market there prices are mmuuuucch lower... and whereever Government sits on its hands, monopolies are created and prices rise.. and UNIONs are killed.
ahh.. Propaganda... not worth the download, although
someone PUSHES it ... really bad.
I bet it was produced with THINK TANK MONEY...
lets find out...
Robert Chitester raised the necessary seed money ...
and who is he?
The Palmer R. Chitester Fund was created by the combative Bob
Chitester, with startup money from the Bradley Foundation, to create right wing ...
there you go. nothing but corporate smear-pieces, dressed
up as "research" by an elite-sucker "Economist"
.... surely slick, ... a real trap for the unwary.
Its a conspiracy alright.. but thanks to the greatest
lie-detector on earth (google) it takes only seconds to
find them out.

Milton Friedmans message is all about freedom. Human and economic freedom. Don't take my word for it or some search engine. Watch the documentary and decide for yourself.

BTW, Friedman addresses Chile directly in "1980 Vol 5 Created Equal" during the debate segment. Have a listen to what he has to say about freedom in Chile.
