This documentary was only so so. Mr Beckford blames all of Ghana's troubles on the WB and IMF. At one point, however, he interviews people who were attacked by the Ghanan police and military because they had become so desperate that they had to to try to make a living through illegal mining. The WB and IMF can't be held responsible for what the mililary and police in Ghana do. Also, many of the work practices found in West African cocoa plantations are not found in South American plantations.
