The final episode of Israel's Generals is a timely look at one of
Israel's most loved and most loathed figures, Ariel "Arik" Sharon.
Sharon's path is chronicled in this documentary, from a commander
who carried out the ugly side of political decisions and crushed
dissent with an iron fist, to the father of the settlement movement
and a hard-line politician whose right-wing Likud coalition shattered
29 years of Labour Party rule in the 1977 elections. Using file
interviews, historical vision and interviews with political activists
and insiders, including Sharon's son Omri, Israel's General follows
a controversial figure from military hero to national disgrace and
his subsequent rise to Prime Minister.
