In a HARDtalk interview first broadcast on 14 February 2008, Gavin Esler talks to the former Israeli deputy defence minister, Hardcore Zionist Efraim Sneh.
Palestinian militants in Gaza continue to fire rockets into Israel, and the country's hawks are calling for tougher measures to respond.
These include targeted killings of Hamas leaders to the razing of neighbourhoods.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said that anger is understandable but that it is not a plan of action.
