Manchester Free Software organised the event in association with the BCS and the IET. The talk was a resounding success with many “enlightening” points made and insightful questions asked. Over 300 people attended, filling the lecture theatre, causing latecomers to sit in the aisles. It is good to see this talk by Richard Stallman being torrented on one big torrent. I attended this talk in Manchester and therefore I can thoroughly recommend the talk, while the subject matter of Free software may seem a bit dry to those who are not IT technical, I can assure you tht Richard Stallman is witty and droll, as he peppers his talk with radical political rhetoric
