Regrettably without subtitles, still worth the watch if you don't speak Italian yet you know the history or have a transcript. The film is about a true story, taking place at a time in Italy of high tension between fascist and communist elements known as the anni di piombo (1970s-80s), or years of lead (a time when the CIA was pretty well recognized as supporting neofascist acts like the bombing of Piazza Fontana). The film depicts the kidnapping of Aldo Moro, Italy's former prime minister and leader of the rightwing Christian Democracy party, by members of the Red Brigades terrorist group. The film features a particularly memorable moment of a family joining in singing the old partisan's song, "Fischia il vento."
