This documentary covers the after effects of the 'Gulf 1 Iraq invasion' on serving personnel and the attempts by medical staff to understand the problems that they are facing. More commonly referred to as 'gulf war syndrome'  this program contains interviews with people dealing with the exposure to the range of toxins in the environment and cocktails of drugs administered to the personnel prior to the invasion.  Sorry but quality not great, broadcast reception at the time of recording was poor and of course there is the limitations of VHS media as well. But the content is first class and being 15 years old is a reminder of the greatly diminished quality of current so called 'investigative journalism' available today. It is one of the few examples of a genuine investigation into this topic covered by british media. A follow up documentary was broadcast in 1994, also by Critical Eye, called 'Quick War, Slow Death'.
