http://www.thegroundtruth.org/ The Ground Truth: After the Killing Ends is an hour documentary focusing on the effects of killing in war, and how the Iraq War is affecting our soldier's lives. The film looks at the disparity between the military's recruiting and training resources, and the lack of money and support given to soldiers when they come home with mental and physical injuries. Billions of dollars are spent on recruiting and training soldiers to fight and kill in a war, and in our name. This training is so effective, our military can take a man or a woman who has never killed a squirrel, and enable them to not only kill people, but to also be abusive in a war environment. Yet, there is little effort or long-term programs to help veterans heal from the traumas that war inflicts on almost everyone who experiences combat. This documentary attempts to go beyond the war stories, and look underneath our yellow ribbons and bumper stickers. Do Americas ever acknowledge what goes on in a war, and what our soldiers are being asked to do? Despite the widespread cry to "Support Our Troops," there exists today a national ignorance and indifference towards our veterans, who often live out their days struggling with what they saw and what they did.
