i fixed this. Torrent filename too long again (is it so hard to keep it under 100 characters, as suggested in the upload form? you've got a description field after all.) also it's rather stunning that 527 people fail to download a torrent before somebody cares to drop a note...

Interesting debate - or at least interesting to watch. Dershowitz doesn't cut a good figure but what would you expect from someone who defended Claus von Buelow, O.J. Simpson, Jimmy Bakker, Michael Milken, Mike Tyson, among others, and who in The Best Defense wrote: "Once I decide to take a case, I have only one agenda: I want to win. I will try, by every fair and legal means, to get my client off--without regard to the consequences", and ".... almost all of my clients have been guilty." Here he's trying his thing again with his client Israel.

Equally instructive are the 50+ talkbacks you can find on the website of the Jerusalem Post which carried an article on the debate the day after. I wonder if the publisher/editors of the JP feel embarassed about the rabble that wrote in. Only a handful have substantive comments to offer, the rest merely heap one-liner invective on Chomsky. The bulk of them have nothing more to offer on Chomsky than to say "self-hating jew." Pathetic!

I thought Chomsky's offhand dismissal of the Israeli question-poser who had been an aide at Camp David showed poorly for him.

If you didn't know already, know now: Noam Chomsky was Alan Dershowitz's camp counselor at Zionist youth camp in the '60s. That ought to help you frame their dynamic.
