A full-length documentary, filmed with animation over the recorded speech of actual participants in the 1982 Lebannon War, Israeli director Ari Folman's Waltz with Bashir is s standout film of 2008, with its surreal animation style and abrupt way of portraying horrific events.
Waltz with Bashir is beautifully done and get its message across clearly.
This film makes a strong and sometimes disturbing statement.
It is definitely worth seeing for its message, its visuals and its musical score.
The music, which features rock, Bach, Chopin, Schubert and an original score by Max Richte, adds an incredible amount of depth and emotional impact to the already challenging imagery.
'Waltz With Bashir' is a compelling, thought-provoking piece of art you will not forget anytime soon

Apparently taken from a screener. It's watchable, but video quality isn't that great. I'm sure there will be better copies out in a bit.

I've found screener copy to be good and watchable. I look at file size for good ability to download in a reasonable time. Anything under 1G for a movie (90 minutes) is a good deal.
I won't watch it if there is torture in it: cartoon torture, real life depictions or anything that way.
American tv is now full of it too. It's like US policy has given permission for these depictions and it hardens and desensitizes people.

i saw this movie when i was in london during thanksgiving day. It is very good and very recommended.
