Report Abuse/InfringementIntrepid filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi takes a behind-the-scenes look at the recent life and hard times of Ted Haggard, the founder and pastor of the New Life Church and President of the National Association of Evangelicals, who lost his job and his reputation after a sordid sex/drug scandal.
It wasn't revealed in the documentary, but Haggard says he was sexually abused at age 7, which would explain a lot:

A ha! So Haggard was an abused child. That may explain a lot. But I have no sympathy for him, and just seeing his face makes me want to puke.
To take it a step further, what makes a person become an evangelical leader? Isn't there always some odor of hypocrisy and transparent dishonesty about all of them? Is it their own pasts that both formed them and that they are attempting to deny?

Had this film not been made by a notable like Ms. Pelosi, I would pass it up. But I'm going to watch it now with an open mind... and my nose plugged. Thanks for posting it.
