CNBC was set up specifically for the advancement of working people. They really betrayed their institutional role. Little Stewart is _so_ right to piss all over them

Actually I was being sarcastic -- of course CNBC programming reflects the attitudes and interests of the finance industry, and not those of Jon Stewart's bubbie. Why would they not just roll with it when their corporate overlords were making good money?
I cheered Stewart back when he told those Crossfire-guys off (even though he didn't get to the root of the problem then either), but this now is just silly in my mind.

preplanned. The US media lately has been having these staged "shamings." The idea being to assauge the angst of the population through strange voyeuristic displays.
