it's quite popular in this day and age to frown upon the burning of books. the legacy of book burning is dismal and is at least superficially, anti-intellectual. However, there are a set of books books, which if torched, would have saved humankind a great deal of grief. Ayn Rand's filth novels rank high on this list.
IT is important to note the close link between Objectivism and Sexual Perversion. To the trained mind these concepts are synonymous.
Rather than detail the connection, I will leave it as an exercise to my faithful readers. Suffice it to say that this work, unless shedding light on the aforementioned connection, is undeniably ENEMY PROPAGANDA.

Funny, my first thought regarding the film's title was that it could be the sexual memoirs of Milton Friedman.

@onebig_symbol
What is sexual perversion? It seems like it would be a very subjective thing.
I think a much better criticism of Ayn Rand would be that she was ignorant and didn't really know what she was talking about.

Paul-ish, I was going to ask the same question. Sexual perversion seems like something a prude conservative would charge agienst any type of sexuality/sexual activity that does not fit into there vanilla Christian world view.
Of course, the sexual politics of Ayn Rands novels are (like the rest of her novels) terrible. sex was not to be enjoyed for its own sake, but only to be engaged in grimly as a reflection and reaffirmation of one’s "highest values". The highest ideal for woman is to be "man-worshipers", as only men can be "the highest symbol of mankind.”
Her entire philosophy is bankrupt to the core.

Perversion might not be the right word. Maybe "unhealthy fetish" -- one might even say an obsession with "rape." The exploitation of one's fellow man, the desire to be exploited, all kinds of weird shit.
Perversion does import a value judgment, but I think it's safe to say that from any sound moral, ethical position (read left perspective), Ayn Rand is perverse.

Also I would like to make clear that by labeling items as enemy propaganda I do not intend to condemn the uploader. I just label the enemy the propaganda so that there is no confusion. I have nothing better to do.

I didn't take what you were saying personally, symbol. I am just uncomfortable when people start labeling things as "sexually perverse" in a political context. After taking some college courses on human sexuality and psychology I am wary of such pronouncements. What you or I might consider perverse behavior is actually quite common. That is all. I have not personal quarrel with you.

Of course, Ayn Rand had no problem with labeling things as "sexually perverse". For Ayn Rand, homosexuality is perverse, that "there is a psychological immorality at the root of homosexuality" because "it involves psychological flaws, corruptions, errors, or unfortunate premises", and that in her sincere opinion it was "disgusting"

@TransconaSlim
I think that is a better criticism.

Well I managed to make it through the first 20 minutes. Quite an accomplishment considering this abortion of a film.
It was long enough to vindicate every comment I made here.

everyone should read Ayn Rand — but only for the intellectual exercise of refuting her.
