"The most notable event organised by the Aegean Macedonian Refugee Children is the first Re-union of the Refugee Children or the World Congress of the Refugee Children in 1988 (June 30th - July 3rd) in the city of Skopje, the then Socialist Republic of Macedonia.
At the reunion the Association of Child Refugees from Aegean Macedonia adopted a resolution urging the Greek government to allow Macedonian political refugees who left Greece after the Greek Civil War to return to Greece."
