CZECH DREAM documents the largest consumer hoax the Czech Republic has ever seen. Filip Remunda and Vit Klusak, two of Eastern Europe�s most promising young documentary filmmakers, set out to explore the psychological and manipulative powers of consumerism by creating an ad campaign for something that didn�t exist.
The advertising campaign included radio and television ads, 400 posters, 200,000 flyers with photos of fake Czech Dream products, a promotional song, an internet site, and ads in newspapers and magazines and was financed from a grant by the Czech Ministry of Culture.

Looks interesting. I think it would be a mistake to think the Czech people are especially gullible, though; this would probably work with great success in most any capitalist country.

this is a thumbs up movie - worth watching. it is not about gullibility, per se, but how capitalism makes us all lie to ourselves.
