2006 White House Correspondents Dinner with among others Stephen Colbert and Pres Bush (TVRip SoS)

I'm sure news of this has spread like wildfire on the "internets" but for those few who aren't already aware, this was one hell of a smackdown by Stephen Colbert. The man has balls of steel. He didn't care about cozying up to the establishment. He didn't chicken out by making mild, tepid jokes without being too critical or going over the line, which is the implicit understanding of these things. Instead, he went way, way over the line. Colbert roasted all the a**sholes in power who were sitting right in front of him and make them take it, from Bush, to politicians, to the generals, to the cowardly, pathetic, complicit media. It was a thing of beauty to watch.

FYI: Cheney did not seem to be present today. The format of the event is similar to a roast where the pres. makes fun of himself and the press and vice versa.
