National Geographic Explorer - Science Of Surveillance 2010

Information
"Invisible eyes are searching for criminals and terrorists. But at what price? Will surveillance technology eventually invade our bodies, our homes and pervade our daily lives? Are we creating a future with nowhere to hide? Explorer deconstructs the London bombings investigation to reveal the limits of monitoring technology, and slips behind the scenes of high-tech command centers. In the new "Surveillance Society," every move you make can be watched."

Explorer takes viewers into the disturbing world of surveillance technology and scans the latest and future technologies used to even spy on the private lives of citizens. From London's CCTVs to infra-technology equipped helicopters that search the streets of New York City, the documentary shows the inner workings of these surveillance systems.

I noticed that years ago the BBC would incorporate the "value" of CCTV in their spy shows like MI5 and elsewhere to get the people used to having it around. Or perhaps the shows were constructed with that element in mind. I do not find the idea of this sort planned programming on the part of BBC far fetched.

But with others (Alex Jones among them) I wonder how it got accepted so easily.

I was amazed that there was a reference to the CCTV in the recent BBC Hamlet with David Tennet.
